Black Tea
Black tea is a fully oxidized tea made from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant, known for its bold flavor, dark color, and higher caffeine content compared to other teas like green or white tea. Originating from countries such as India, China, and Sri Lanka, black tea is enjoyed worldwide both plain and in blends like Earl Grey, English Breakfast, and Masala Chai. The oxidation process gives black tea its distinctive taste, which can range from malty and rich to brisk and astringent. Beyond its energizing effect, black tea is also rich in antioxidants, particularly theaflavins and thearubigins, which may support heart health and improve focus. Whether served hot or iced, with or without milk, black tea remains a staple beverage in many cultures.
